Este vorba de un dipol in λ/2 in forma de cerc, pentru a asigura o radiatie omnidirectionala.
Lungimea totala a partii radiante MON, realizata din tub de cupru cu diametrul 6—8 mm, este de 985 mm, iar deschiderea MN masoara 15 mm (fig. 269 a).
Alimnentarea se realizeaza prin cablu coaxial de 75 Ω impedanta, adaptat la antena printr-un sistem „gamma match” care asigura si trecerea de la simetria antenei la disimetria cablului. Sistemul este format dintr-un conductor (fig. 269 b) rigid, conectat la antena in punctul A, avind diametrul de 3 mm, iar lungimea de 180 mm. Acordul sistemului de adaptare „gamma match” se face cu ajutorul unui condensator ajustabil de 30 pF, protejat de intemperii. Prin ajustarea capacitatii acestui condensator vom obtine debitul maxim din circuitul anodic al etajului final.
Antena este suportata de un izolator tip clopot, fixat pe caroserie in partea din spate a masinii, astfel incit sa reziste la socuri si vinturi puternice.
Antena este relativ simpla si da rezultate bune in traficul mobil datorita polarizarii sale orizontale ce concorda cu cea a antenelor fixe, atenuindu-se in mare masura fedingul ce se observa frecvent in aceasta gama, ca urmare a polarizarii diferite a antenelor.
