Portite G1 si G2 sunt comandate in contratimp transmitand alternativ la iesire semnale de pe intrarile IN1, respectiv IN2. Sunt necesare precautii ca pe intrari sa nu se aplice semnale mai mari ca amplitudine decit valoarea tensiunii de alimentare.
Frecventa oscilatorului de comanda care contine doua invertoare (I1 si I2) provenite dintr-o capsula CMOS tip 4069 se regleaza prin intermediul rezistentei semireglabile R2. Circuitul este ireversibil prin aceea ci un semnal aplicat la borna OUT poate fi distribuit prin cele doua cai IN1 si IN2 catre doua amplificatoare. In acest caz in locul inversorului I3 se conecteaza un comutator care conecteaza punctul A la masa sau la (+).
